The 2020 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to be the seventh ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournament, with matches to be played in October and November 2020. The final will be held on 15 November 2020 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This will be the first time that Australia has hosted the Men’s T20 World Cup, with the country previously hosting the Women’s T20 World Cup five times.
The tournament will feature ten teams, an increase from eight in previous editions. The format for the tournament will see each team play every other team in a round-robin stage, before progressing to either a semi-final or final depending on their position in the group. Points will be awarded for each match, with two points given for a win and one point given for no result or a tie.
The top four teams at the end of the round-robin stage will progress to the semi-finals, while the bottom two teams will be eliminated from contention. This year’s edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup promises to be an exciting one, with plenty of talented teams vying for glory. Be sure to follow all the action when it gets underway later this year!
